Description
Narrative: It is not unusual when viewing my paintings that viewers find objects or imagery – ‘there’s a swan’, ‘that looks like a waterfall’. I look deep into natural forms and structures and endeavor to reveal the essence of things, resulting in form that can be interpreted and re-interpreted by a viewer’s personal experiences.
Where the artwork can reveal multiple or many images within, in my titles, I also find I use hidden meanings. In ‘Like Earth’, I felt a genuine sense of ‘drawing’ on many of earth’s finest offerings like waterfalls, cloudscapes, and animals, creating a piece that was not only in the likeness of earth, but also a depiction of how much I truly do ‘like’ planet Earth.
