Narrative: HORIZONS – The natural shapes that make up this work, the canvases and wood, are reminiscent of clouds, birds, forms derived from skies. Within the imagery are earthly forms of stone, waterfalls, and distant horizons. The work feels in flight, hovering above, and at the same time grounded firmly upon the earth. It creates for the viewer a sense of peace and well being. It is intensely colorful, yet harmonious and restful. It would feel at home in any environment that is surrounded by, and with views to nature.

The Stretchers: Designed, created and built by the artist, this unique ‘Nature’s Secret’ stretcher is hand drawn and carved with a multi-layered, ridged edge for added effect. The entire stretcher has a convex back which protrudes from the wall.
The Wooden Hanging Structure: Designed by the artist to augment the narrative, this sculptural element is created from Maple by Furniture maker Robert Post. The art and wood structure are raised from the wall and have the appearance of floating.
The Paint: ‘Old Holland Classic Oil Colours’ oil paint for the richest, most vibrant color
The Oil: ‘Chelsea Classical Studio’ Clarified Pale Cold Pressed Walnut Oil. This oil will not darken, and contributes to the deep richness of tones and hues in the work. This magnificent oil was mentioned many times as a favored painting medium in the writings of Leonardo DaVinci!
