Description
Narrative: CROCUS IN VIEW is laden with compelling natural vignettes that gaze ahead to the coming of seasons. Nature’s wonders flow through the piece and appear as waterfalls, expansive skies dwarfing horizons, dawn breaking, floral beauty and avian forms. The composition of the panels evoke motion as the left panel falls through space, but is grasped so tightly by the trapezoidal center that it only yearns to be released. The entire piece is brought back to rest and firmly grounded by the massive earthen waterfall. The outer edges of the panels are thick and ripple with visual detail while the inner edges of the panels tighten to a sharp, flat center creating a powerful juxtaposition of geometric design and organic flow.
